SAYWORK / LINUX
Your work.
On Linux.
Download Saywork for x86-64 Linux as a Debian package or AppImage. Installation steps, executable permissions, FUSE help and launch diagnostics.
Ubuntu or Debian
Download the .deb and open it in your software installer, or open a terminal in the download folder and run:
sudo apt install ./Saywork-*-amd64.deb
sayworkAppImage
In the file’s properties, allow it to run as a program, or use a terminal:
chmod +x ./Saywork-*-x86_64.AppImage
./Saywork-*-x86_64.AppImageIf the download does not open
FUSE or libfuse.so.2 error
AppImage may need FUSE 2. If it is unavailable, use the .deb on compatible distributions, or try AppImage’s extraction mode:
./Saywork-*-x86_64.AppImage --appimage-extract-and-runPermission denied or Exec format error
Check the file’s executable permission. The current Linux packages are x86-64, not ARM. Confirm the download finished and that you did not download the Windows installer.
Missing library or GLIBC error
Launch from a terminal and keep the complete error. On Debian/Ubuntu, the .deb installs its declared dependencies through the package manager. A GLIBC error can mean the system is older than the package supports; do not replace system libraries manually.
The app opens but global keys or pasting do not work
Wayland sessions can restrict global shortcuts and control of other apps. Compare with an X11 session and check Saywork’s platform status in Settings. This is separate from an application launch failure.
Help us identify the failure
Send the Saywork version, distribution/version, CPU architecture, desktop session and full launch error to hello@getsaywork.com.
